Please print the attached flyer, hand it out to your friends, your church, your workplace - the more the merrier for our 6th annual Silent Auction event. This year's theme is old Hollywood - come as a star or as you are. Be famous for an evening! I'd love to see you ALL there! Call me if you have something you'd like to donate and/or you want to buy tickets now. 100% of the proceeds goes to our star seniors in need for Meals on Wheels or Senior Emergency Funds. Thanks so much for your support! I'll see all you famous people in the spotlights at Delmar Gardens' Hollywood!!!!!

Alumni Stars on the Rise
Lisa Guerrero – Former AFC Director – Some of the AFC Alumni from 89-90 were able to meet Lisa for dinner. It was great seeing her and catching up. Also, some of the AFC Alumni and current AFC were able to support her Atlanta movie premiere for “A Plumm Summer”. It’s playing for a limited time at the Roswell Startime Movie Theatre and is a wonderful movie for the family. Here’s a group shot of us at dinner.

Angela Mitchell – Congratulations to Angela! She’s very excited to announce she’ll be appearing in a recurring role (3 episodes) in a new Sitcom scheduled to air this coming fall on BET called "Somebodies". Her character is a bubbly, naive, Boys Club Volunteer who quickly becomes the object of the staff & kids affection by advertising her "assets”. Carole Wolter Wood – Kudos to Carole for her role as Tipper Gore in the HBO movie Recount! Recount is a chronicle of the weeks after the 2000 U.S. presidential election and the subsequent recounts in Florida. I saw the movie recently on HBO and Carole looked great.
Offer to the AFC Alumni and new AlumniCheerleaders.com members only – I will email all AFC Alumni a complimentary hotel only voucher for 3 days, 2 nights (19 destinations) There is no catch, gimmicks, or timeshare presentations for the accommodations (only 1 offer per household). The company that provided me these vacation certificates is an active and proud member of the Better Business Bureau. It’s your option to use for yourself or pass on to other family or friends. Some Alumni have already redeemed theirs and making plans for future vacations.

Southern Belles” Summer Spirit Camp
It takes place on the University of Georgia campus 7/14/08 – 7/16/08 (individuals or groups can attend). This is the third year Shelly has hosted and directed the camp, and it is staffed by current and former UGA Cheerleaders and Dance Dawgs. Kristy Korpieski Carder also serves as the camp manager and an instructor. They would LOVE to have your daughter join them for camp this summer! Listed below is a link to information about the camp and directions on how to register (either via the website or you can mail in your registration form). They are also extending a special discount to any alumni who registers a camper (or for any friends of alumni who register their daughter). Just mark “AFC Alumni” in the field on the registration form notated “Name of group/sibling attending with,” and you can take $25.00 off the per camper cost.

BIRTH ANNOUCEMENTS
Congratulations to Alum, Shannon Underwood, and her husband!! They welcomed their 2nd future Falcons’ cheerleader, Aylin Elizabeth. She made her cheering debut on June 6, 2008 at 6:25 Pm and weighed 7 lbs 3oz and was 20 inches long. Big Sister Reagan adores her baby sister! Shannon and family are doing well.
